Using an online delivery platform* of your choice, create a 2-3 day, standards based learning module on a topic of your choice.
The module must reflect the basic tenents of the Flipped Classroom Instructional Model.
it must also include all required elements and be vetted/critiqued in advance of the due date by at least 2 of your peers in the class using a modified online Lesson Study [Community of Learners] approach.
* MoodleCloud (free) is recommended, but other programs may be used (e.g., Google Classroom (free), Google Sites, etc.). Whatever program is used, plan to create the site as if your students will use it to engage your lesson.
Create a 2-3 Days Standards Based Learning Module using the Flipped Classroom Model. The module must include, as a minimum, the following elements:
All appropriate state, national, and/or professional standard(s)
A minimum of 2 Short (no more than 10 minutes in length) Video Segments created using Office Mix for PowerPoint or another approved video app that directly supports the module’s learning goals.
Linkage to and/or inclusion of supporting content/cognate information.
A learner Viewing Guide that outlines for learners what they are to do across the Flipped Lesson (i.e., directions for getting started, directions while viewing the videos, and directions about what to do after each video, plus any handouts that they may need to read or fill out while viewing the videos).
One paired or small group activity that directly supports learning (i.e., mastery of one or more module standards)
At least 1 other student-centered activity (individual, paired, small group, or whole group) that allows you to assess students’ mastery of your identified standards.
2 or more assessments, including at least 1 assessment rubric tied to one paired or small group learning activity.
