Prompt:For this paper you will be looking at Jacob Soll’s piece, “The Long and Brutal History of Fake News”. As you analyze Soll’s text, you will be required to choose two other texts from the list below that will help you map out his central argument as well as specific claims and points that connect with the chosen text. In your chosen texts, you will want to identify strengths and weaknesses and how they relate back to the Jacob Soll’s article. You are required to locate at least two sources aside from the “anchor” article but you are welcome to explore additional articles as well if you would like to discuss more viewpoints. I’ve provided a list below of articles that you may consider choosing as you begin to think about how you will work to evaluate what strategies will be effective for debunking fake news as well as the significance of its harmful and threatening influence.
