Model Program Presentation
In this assignment, you will provide a full description of the proposed model program you would like to develop to address your area of interest/passion and a community need/social problem. Once you have identified the social problem(s) and/or the community (need(s) in, that the program you have created addresses, you will apply a program planning theory in detail and align it with the program activity/activities. You will present this information in PowerPoint and provide speaker notes to support your content. THE SOCIAL ISSUES IDENTIFIED WILL REFLECT THOSE IN DUVAL OR CLAY COUNTY FLORIDA.
As you create the presentation, please note that some content may require more than one slide to provide the information required. Be sure to also use the speaker notes area to support your slides, following the guidelines provided in the assignment requirements. Speaker notes shall be TWO (2) to THREE (3) WELL DEVELOPED PARAGRAPHS.
Please addresses each of the following:
1) A one-paragraph overview describing your program that includes the vision, mission, and goals of the program.
2) Clearly state the social problems and/or community needs that this program proposes to address.
3) Provide a description of proposed program activities.
a) Be sure to describe the day-to-day program activities that the program will engage in to achieve its goal.
b) Cite at least ONE (1) theory from the literature that supports the rationale for the program interventions and activities you propose.
4) Provide a refined version of a logic model that visually describes the program in logical terms of inputs, key activities, outputs, outcomes, and impact.
5) Provide a concise action plan to implement your program that articulates priorities, timelines, and accountability.
a) Be sure to discuss contingency plans and next steps needed to implement the program.
6) Provide a refined outline of your evaluation plan that clearly states your program objectives and client outcomes.
a) Be sure to include the type of evaluation (needs assessment, outcome, process, impact, etc.) and criteria used to measure program performance and client outcomes.
Your presentation should be at least 11 slides, not including the title and reference slides, and should include the following elements:
• Title Slide: Provide your name, assignment title, course and section number, and date.
• Body: Each bulleted question should be on at least one slide, and some questions may require more than one slide. Answer all the questions, reflecting appropriate personal and professional insights.
o The assignment must be written in Standard English and demonstrate superior organization, including a highly developed viewpoint and purpose. Use the Notes section below each slide to add any additional information to support the content on your slides. Speaker notes shall be TWO (2) to THREE (3) WELL DEVELOPED PARAGRAPHS.
o Presentations are visual; therefore, use clear, concise bullet points and avoid crowded slides. Additionally, images and diagrams are wonderful presentation tools, but be sure to include all required citations.
o Your responses should reflect professional writing standards, using proper tone and language. The writing and writing style should be correct and accurate and reflect program development and administration knowledge.
• Reference Slide: Sources listed in APA format.
o Include a minimum of four sources to support your responses and conclusions. One can be your text (attached). The other three (3) should be from a peer-reviewed journals with DOI numbers no more than five (5) years old.
• USE ARIAL OR TIMES NEW ROMAN 18-POINT FONT.
• Use APA formatting and citation style.
This assignment assesses the following Course Outcome:
you will design a program proposal integrating the components of the logical mode. You will discuss design strategies related to funding streams, timelines (TIMELINES MUST BE SPECIFIC), as well as obstacles to meeting program outcomes and desired results for your proposed program
Apply program planning theories to support program activities related to social problems and client and community needs.

o Please review pages 3–14 of this chapter.
• Chapter 7: “Setting Goals and Objectives”
• Chapter 8: “Designing Effective Programs”
Chapter 1 of your reading will explore the relationship that exists between the logic model and program planning, the steps involved in effectiveness-based program planning and recognize the elements of a program that are critical to measuring effectiveness.
Chapter 7 explores the purposes and criteria for a goal statement. You will also explore the relationship between agency mission and program goals and objectives, the parts of a complete objective, the components of an outcome, and how process objectives and activities work together.
Chapter 8 explains the rationale for breaking programs down into elements. This chapter will explore the logic model and how it provides a framework for program design. You will also explore how the program hypothesis and program objectives fit together with program design elements.
